The two projects were the EKW C-35 biplane and the EKW C-36 monoplane.
It was home to the Fighter Squadron 8, whose fleet included the :EKW C-35, :Messerschmitt Bf 109, :de Havilland Vampire, :de Havilland Venom and the :Hawker Hunter.
Two aircraft were designed by the Eidgenössische Konstruktions Werkstätte to replace the Fokker C.Ve which the Swiss Air Force were using.
