Bagrationovsky District

Another line, the former East Prussian Southern Railway, connects Kaliningrad with Polish Bartoszyce via Bagrationovsk; however, passenger service was discontinued in 2011.

Bundesstraße 1

After Napoleonic Wars and the Empire's dissolution in 1806, the Prussian monarchs systematically expanded the road network, completing the chaussee between Berlin and Magdeburg in 1824, and between Berlin and Königsberg in 1828, reaching the East Prussian terminus at Gumbinnen (present-day Gusev, Russia) in 1835.

Goncarzewy

"Gonzercewo bei Bromberg/Provinz Posen/Westpreussen" was the birth place (09.09.1893) of Margarete ("Marga") Siegroth, née Boden (daughter of an East Prussian landowner), a nurse and manager of a small clinic in Berlin, who married Heinrich Himmler in 1928 and became Mrs. Himmler.

Petrus Zwicker

Petrus Zwicker (died 1403 in Vienna) was an East Prussian Inquisitor and cleric of the Roman Catholic Order of the Celestines.

After attending the Prussian Military Academy from 1889 to 1892, he served in the Royal Prussian District Command (Bezirkskommando) Wesel and the Grenadier Regiment "King Friedrich Wilhelm I" (2nd East Prussian) No. 3 – Königsberg, where he was a company commander.
