Machado has appeared across the country in plays by John Steppling, Maria Irene Fornes, Elmer Rice, Bertolt Brecht, Federico García Lorca, Rogelio Martinez and Nina Beeber, among others.

Between 1928 and 1930, Andrés Iduarte travelled to Paris and he joined the Latinamerican Student Association (Asociación de Estudiantes Latinoamericanos, AGELA) where he met other Latin American personalities such as Carlos Quijano, Miguel Ángel Asturias, César Vallejo, Gustavo Machado, Eduardo Machado, Manuel Ugarte and Gabriela Mistral.
It was put under voting in Guáimaro on 10 April 1869, by Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, President of the Constituent Assembly, and approved by the Deputies: Salvador Cisneros Betancourt, Antonio Zambrana, Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, Jesús Rodríguez, Antonio Alcalá, José Izaguirre, Honorato Castillo, Francisco Sánchez, Antonio Lorda, Miguel Betancourt Guerra, Arcadio García, Tranquilino Valdés, Miguel Gerónimo Gutiérrez, and Eduardo Machado.
