The album's lyrics have been influenced (and occasionally taken) from classic poets like Hölderlin, Edgar Allan Poe and Finnish classic Eino Leino.
It first appears in Eino Leino´s poem Arja and Selinä of 1916; but the Arja in the poem is a boy.
He along with Juhani Aho, Paavo Cajander, Arvi Jännes, Eino Leino and Alpo Noponen translated Runeberg’s Fänrik Ståls sägner (Vänrikki Stoolin tarinat in Finnish) in 1909.
