Lateef became the main presenter of the flagship programme in March 2006 when she replaced Emily Maitlis who left to join the BBC News channel and BBC Two's Newsnight.
In April 2006, he was re-united with Hill on the 11am-2pm shift until March 2013 when the duo moved to the 2pm-5pm slot on Tuesday to Friday; Emily Maitlis co-presents on Mondays.
The programme is part of the BBC News at Five with Huw Edwards which is shown on BBC News and is usually presented by Gavin Esler, Emily Maitlis or Julian Worricker.
