During their second combat tour, VF-10 participated in operations in the Marshall Islands, Jaluit, Emirau, Western Caroline Islands, Hollandia, Truk Lagoon and the Battle of the Philippine Sea (Marianas Turkey Shoot).
One month later, the squadron had redeployed, and both echelons were operating at Emirau with Marine Aircraft Group 61.
In July 1944, VMB-413 began operating from Munda from where they began to raid both Kahili and Choiseul on a regular basis until October 18, 1944 when they moved to Emirau.
The squadron also fought from the forward air bases of Espirito Santo, Turtle Bay, Bougainville, and Emirau.
