His is one of two "famous" interments at this cemetery, the other being the Baseball Hall of Famer Eppa Rixey (May 3, 1891 - February 28, 1963).
The next year he won 17 games, and was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies at the end of the season along with Greasy Neale in the same trade that brought Eppa Rixey to Cincinnati.
