A prince, Ghatotkachaqupta was the governor of Eran and a third governor (or feudatory), Bandhuvarma was the ruler of Dashapura.
A large number of his copper coins also have been discovered from Eran-Vidisha region.

Eran Almog lived in the village until his death from Castleman's disease.

Eran Thomson was born in San Francisco and attended 11 different schools in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and Mexico City before moving to Swarthmore, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Strath Haven High School.
Among his hundreds of students were the conductor Lior Shambadal, composers Erel Paz, Ella Milch-Sheriff, Deborah Rothstein Schramm, violinist Yehonatan Berick, pianists Sally Pinkas, Eugene Alcalay, Sivan Silver and Gil Garburg, Dr. Eran Lupu and many others.
