Erysimum cazorlense is a short-lived, mostly monocarpic herb endemic to the Cazorla and Segura mountain ranges, SE Spain.
Erysimum nevadense is a perennial short-lived herb endemic to the Sierra Nevada of Spain, although there are some citations in the nearby Sierra de Gádor (Almería).
Warmer, south-facing valley slopes are home to rare plants that have survived in this harsh climate including Shacklett's Cryptantha (Cryptantha shacklettiana), Erysimum asperum and alpine golden buckwheat (Eriogonum flavum).
There are several rare, threatened plant species in the area, including the Ben Lomond wallflower (Erysimum teretifolium), the Ben Lomond spineflower (Chorizanthe pungens ssp. hartwegiana), and the Santa Cruz cypress (Callitropsis abramsiana).
