Jimmy Scoular

His first win in charge of the club came on 13 September 1964 with a 1–0 victory over Danish side Esbjerg fB in the European Cup Winners' Cup.

Until 2004 the team played under the name of E.I.K. (Esbjerg Ishockey Klub), but due to financial instability at the club, the professional license was transferred to Esbjerg fB which is a Danish football team currently playing in the Danish Superliga which is the top football league in Denmark.

Hirschfeld made some crucial saves during Tromsø's campaign to avoid relegation and was a key figure in the UEFA Cup matches against Esbjerg fB and Galatasaray, both of which were won by Tromsø I.L. Nordlys, a local newspaper in Tromsø, called Hirschfeld the greatest goalkeeper ever to play for Tromsø I.L., after only 6 matches at his new club.

Niels Frederiksen

On 2 May 2013 it was announced that he would succeed Jess Thorup as manager of Esbjerg fB from the beginning of the 2013–14 Danish Superliga season.
