Since then, Faith in Plastics have become part of the flourishing Perth music establishment, supporting renowned Canadian indie outfit The Dears and high profile Australian acts Eskimo Joe, New Rules for Boats, Snowman, The Panics and Josh Pyke.
This side project, now called Eskimo Joe, with MacLeod on guitar, Quartermain on drums and guitar, and Temperley on bass guitar and vocals, played its first public performance in August 1997 at the University of Western Australia in a local heat for the National Campus Band Competition, they proceeded to the state finals in Perth and then the nationals in Sydney.
Gudinski is mostly known for forming the highly successful Australian record company Mushroom Records in 1972 through whom he signed several generations of Australian musicians and performers ranging from MacKenzie Theory, the Skyhooks, The Choirboys, Kylie Minogue, and New Zealand's Split Enz to newer artists such as Eskimo Joe, Evermore and others forging a string of successful releases by local talent.
The film clip for "Older Than You" was shot over 14 hours at Sydney's Hyde Park in 2004 by the critically acclaimed director, Nash Edgerton, who had previously directed Eskimo Joe's "Liar" film clip.
The EP features six original Eskimo Joe tracks remixed by: Dexter, Sneaky Sound System, Teenager, P-Money, Bumblebeez and a mash-up of "Black Fingernails, Red Wine" and "From the Sea" by Nick Launay.
