In the mid-1960s, Pan American World Airways sent her around the world twice to make images for their corporate photographic library.

Esther Bubley was born February 16, 1921 in Phillips, Wisconsin, the fourth of five children of Russian Jewish immigrants Louis and Ida Bubley.
