Eutelsat 9A (formerly Eurobird 9A), located at 9° East, carries the German KabelKiosk package, the Russian Platform HD package, and American Forces Network Europe.
In April 2009 the spacecraft was repositioned to 16° East and renamed Eurobird 16 as part of Eutelsat's Eurobird brand; it was replaced at 7 degrees west by Atlantic Bird 4A.

In January 2007, the station was noted broadcasting on the Eutelsat-owned Eurobird satellite and on the Arabsat/Badr satellite, both at the 26 degrees east orbital position.
Eutelsat 16B, formerly known as Hot Bird 4, Atlantic Bird 4, Nilesat 103 and Eurobird 16, is a communications satellite owned and operated by Eutelsat.
Al Jazeera Children’s Channel is free to view on Badr, Arabsat, Nilesat, Hotbird and Eurobird and is also distributed by a number of other operators across Europe.
It is widely available on US Public, educational, and government access (PEG) cable tv channels, can be viewed FTA in most Central and Western European countries (from Eurobird 9A at 9.0° East), Africa, the Americas and most of Asia via satellite, and can be viewed globally via the Internet at www.pentagonchannel.mil.
