In October 2009, Qian represented China in the Europalia festival performing Frédéric Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Brussels Philharmonic in a tour of Belgium under Carlos Kalmar.
In 2011 she won Silver with her club "Europalia" (Derk de Graaf (Netherlands), Thomas Kolåsæter (Norway), Holger Waldenberger (Germany)) at the European Quizzing Championships in Bruges
Besides this unexpected success he made also in pairs-discipline with Dorjana Širola (best female quizzer worldwide) the third place and in the Club-Team-discipline he made the second place with the team "Europalia".
He is or has been chairman of cultural causes like Maison de la Radio Flagey s.a. and Flagey asbl, and board member of Quartier des Arts asbl, the International Queen Elisabeth Music Competition, of Europalia International vzw, the Vlaamse Academische Stichting vzw, and of the Francqui Foundation (Public Benefit Foundation).
