Buckshaw Parkway railway station

It is in Buckshaw Village, formerly the Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF Chorley) in the village of Euxton, on the site of the four-platform ROF station "halt" that was finally cleared in the early 2000s, having remained virtually intact until the 1970s.

Euxton Balshaw Lane railway station

The former Balshaw Lane and Euxton station was reopened in 1998 (the opening ceremony being performed by former Radio 1 DJ and, latterly, Radio Lancashire presenter and transport enthusiast, Andy Peebles), and was now named Euxton Balshaw Lane.
