Island Savings Centre

The Stick dwarfs the one at Eveleth, Minnesota by 29 metres (Eveleth's is 33 m/110 ft), however Guinness originally said the Minnesota hockey stick was the largest as it was constructed from pure wood, while the Expo stick had a steel framework.

Jenson v. Eveleth Taconite Co.

It was filed in 1988 on behalf of Lois Jenson and other female workers at the EVTAC mine in Eveleth, Minnesota on the state's northern Mesabi Range, which is part of the Iron Range.


Jonathan Greenleaf Eveleth

He was a direct descendant of Joseph Eveleth, juror in the Salem Witch trial of John Proctor, and a second cousin of Theophilus Parsons, Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Minnesota State Highway 37

The Wellstone Memorial and Historic site is located three miles east of the junction of U.S. 53 / Highway 37 / Bodas Road at Fayal Township near Eveleth.

The section of Highway 37 between U.S. 53 at Fayal Township near Eveleth and U.S. 169 at Hibbing was authorized in 1949.

Willard Ikola

After winning three consecutive state championships with the Eveleth boys hockey team (1948–1950) in the last three years of his high school career, he went on to play with the International Hockey League team, the Detroit Auto Club (1951–1952).
