Charles Lindbergh flew the Spirit of St. Louis to Evere airfield after his historic 1927 transatlantic flight to Paris.
The club, founded in 1948, was formerly known as Kapelleveld FC, playing in Evere, but they changed their name in 1950 to Woluwe FC when they moved to the Stade Fallon in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert.
