E N Ibrahim Moulavi was born to Ezhimala E N Ahmed Musliar and M T Fathima in 1948 at Cheruvadi in Kozhikode district, Kerala.
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, inaugurated the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala on the 8th of January 2009.

In AD 1273, Abul Fida, and in AD 1293, the world-famous traveler, Marco Polo, and in 15th century, the Italian traveler Nicholo Konti all visited this place, and have given good and extensive accounts of Ezhimala port, which known by the name of “Heli”.
