There were several hundred collaborators including, in addition to Sebastien Faure himself, Luigi Bertoni, Pierre Besnard, Emile Armand, Han Ryner, Augustin Souchy, Max Nettlau, Voline, Aristide Lapeyre, Gérard de Lacaze-Duthiers, etc.
While anarcho-pacifism is most commonly associated with religious anarchism such as Tolstoyan Christian anarchism and Buddhist anarchism, irreligious or even anti-religious tendencies have emerged such as the French individualist anarchist anarcho-pacifist tendency exemplified by authors and activists such as Charles-Auguste Bontemps, André Arru and Gérard de Lacaze-Duthiers which aligned itself with atheism and freethought.
It was discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, 1897–99, under Gerlache, who named it "Cap Lacaze-Duthiers" for Félix Henri de Lacaze-Duthiers, a French naturalist and authority on the anatomy of mollusks.
After founding the Roscoff Marine Station on the English Channel in 1872, the Sorbonne zoologist, Prof. Henri de Lacaze-Duthiers, wished to establish a second marine station on the Mediterranean.
