Albert Ferrer

Chelsea reached another FA Cup final in 2002 (which he again missed, though this time through not being selected).

Chelsea won the FA Cup the following year (but he missed the final through injury) and reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League; during the run in the latter, he played in 14 of the club's 16 games, and scored his only goal for the Blues, in a 2–0 win against Hertha BSC.

Ben Beynon

Paulo Ferreira

1959–60 in English football

7 May 1960: Wolverhampton Wanderers defeat Blackburn Rovers 3–0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, with two goals from Norman Deeley and an own goal from Mick McGrath.

1974–75 West Ham United F.C. season

West Ham won the FA Cup Final for the second time, recording a 2-0 result against a Fulham side captained by former Upton Park legend Bobby Moore.

1986 FA Charity Shield

Liverpool achieved a Football League and FA Cup double in 1985–86 so their opponents in the Charity Shield match were Everton who finished as runners-up in both competitions.

1997–98 Bradford City A.F.C. season

In the 1997–98 season, Bradford started well with 13 points from a possible 15 which saw the Bantams top of the table after five games, but results declined and chairman Geoffrey Richmond sacked Kamara on 6 January, three days after a 2–0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City.

2003–04 Huddersfield Town F.C. season

They then went on a 4-game winning streak, before hitting a bad patch, when they won only one game in 7, including losing in all three cup competitions (1-0 to Reading in the League Cup, 2-0 to Carlisle United in the Football League Trophy & 1-0 to Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup live on BBC One).

2010–11 A.F.C. Bournemouth season

During the 2010–11 English football season, Bournemouth will participate in League One, the Johnstones Paint Trophy, the FA Cup, and the Football League Cup.

2013–14 Bradford City A.F.C. season

City will enter the FA Cup at the First Round stage with the other League One and Two clubs.

Bert Shelley

Caretaker manager George Goss led them on a run in the FA Cup, defeating Liverpool in round 4, to reach the semi-final at Stamford Bridge, where they were defeated 2–0 by Sheffield United on 28 March 1925, with Shelley playing in all five cup matches.

Bertram Sharp

In December 1900, Southampton acquired the services of C. B. Fry, the celebrated amateur footballer – whenever Fry was available to play, Sharp was required to give way, thus missing several important games, including the FA Cup First Round defeat by Everton.

Billy Spurdle

Geoff Pike
