The club is formed from Futbola Skola "METTA" (Football School Metta) and Latvijas Universitāte (University of Latvia).

In 2007 football school "METTA" and University of Latvia (Latvijas Universitāte) made a senior team FS METTA/Latvijas Universitāte and participated in Latvian Championship 1st division (Traffic 1. līga) and finished the season in the 4th position.
