Châteauesque

Many of the Châteauesque-style buildings in Canada were built for the Canadian Pacific Railway's CP Hotels chain, now part of the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts empire.

John P. Jones

The site is now the home of the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.

La Malbaie

The Fairmont Manoir Richelieu hotel and Casino de Charlevoix are both located in the neighbourhood and former municipality of Pointe-au-Pic.

Simpson's-in-the-Strand

The Savoy Group was purchased in 1998 by a private equity house, Blackstone Group, and, after further changes of ownership, the Savoy Hotel and Simpson's were split off from the rest of the group in 2005 and are run by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.


Colony Capital

On January 30, 2006, it acquired Fairmont Hotels and Resorts of Toronto, Ontario with Kingdom Hotels International as a joint partner for US$3.24 billion.
