Faith and the Muse

The band's name was inspired by Faith & Disease, upon formation of the band William Coulter adopted the pseudonym William Faith to correlate with the band name.

Richards had sung for the band Strange Boutique, while Faith had performed with gothic/death rock icons Shadow Project, Christian Death, Mephisto Walz, and Sex Gang Children.

Monica Richards

A graduate of the American University with honors in literature and a minor in anthropology, she is considered to be an icon of the goth subculture and has been the frontwoman of numerous bands including Madhouse, Strange Boutique and Faith and the Muse, as well as being a solo-artist.


Chad Blinman

As a touring musician, Blinman has performed on drums with Faith and the Muse, Das Ich and Ichor in 1995-96, and on keyboards/electronics with Trever Keith in 2008.

He has worked with such artists as Face to Face, The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, Jackson United, Faith and the Muse, Monica Richards, Senses Fail, Moneen, The Deep Eynde and Jarboe, and is a member of the remix/mash-up team The Legion of Doom and recording projects Viva Death and Real Space Noise.

Engelsstaub's music leans toward the ethereal/neo-medieval end of the gothic spectrum, with stylistic similarities to bands like Ataraxia, The Dreamside and Faith and the Muse.
