Alim Dara is a village that had earlier been the first stopping point on the road from Talikhan to Faizabad.
At the turn of the 20th century, it has been the end of the 30th stage on the Jalalabad-Faizabad-Rustak road, about halfway between Faizabad and Rustak.
They were set upon by Mir Yar Beg's forces, and the relics carried away to Faizabad, where a shrine was erected.
