Chan repaid the favour by playing roles in Wang's films, which included this film as well as the 1982 film Fantasy Mission Force.
Madacy released the film with the title Master with Cracked Finger (singular) in 1996, and later in a twin video pack along with Fantasy Mission Force (2000).
