Soon the child of Shobra,'Compton of Cairo', made visits to Europe and to New York to learn Jazz with such great artists as Barry Harris, Sun Ra, Roman Bunka, Malik Osman, Hal Galper, Ossman Kareem and Pat Patrick.

Fathy held a lot of workshops to help amateurs with his experience, which produced -workshops- successful artists such as Dina El Wedidi, Nancy Mounir and others

He was a member of the Egyptian Folklore Musiciens du Nil Raiis Metqâl El Qenawi and the nubian/sudanise Band Salamat with Salma Abdel Radi and later joined the famous Nubian Star Mohamed Mounir and the Egyptian band rahalah with Hussam Shakir and Sharkiat with Grammy Winner Fathy Salama.
