Alan Henry Krueck (born in Rochester, New York, November 15, 1939 – died Brownsville, Pennsylvania, June 24, 2010) was an American musicologist, editor, and professor of German language, and the head of the North American branch of the International Draeseke Society.
Other orchestral works by Draeseke include the Serenade in F major (1888), its companion of the same year, the symphonic prelude after Kleist's Penthesilea.
After his studies with Theodor Kirchner, Felix Draeseke and Herman Scholtz, Sherwood became a major figure in the music life of Dresden before the First World War.
