On 24 January 2013 FirstGroup announced that they were selling Kidderminster and Redditch depots to Rotala for £1.5 million.
In July 2003 FirstGroup made a takeover offer for GB Railways, offering £2.50 per share offer, with further deferred consideration of £2.00 if the Greater Anglia Rail Franchise was won and £0.50 if either the Northern Rail or Wales & Borders franchises were won.
The headquarters of FirstGroup is approximately halfway along the street, and a short way to the east is Pittodrie Stadium, home of Aberdeen F.C.
The new company's managing director was Mark Howarth who had previously managed Western National, the local Badgerline (later FirstGroup) operation, and he was joined by Robin Orwell who had also worked for Badgerline.
