Kathy was the inspiration for many of Hendrix' compositions including "The Wind Cries Mary" (penned after an argument between Hendrix and Etchingham), "Foxy Lady" (during one of the first performances of this number Hendrix pointed her out from the stage), as the Katherina in "1983... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be)" and in Send My Love to Linda (the original lyrics of which were Send My Love to Kathy until Etchingham objected to being named).

Keen was a regular on TV during the 1970s and early 1980s, starring in sitcoms such as The Cuckoo Waltz, Rings on Their Fingers, Shillingbury Tales, Foxy Lady and You Must Be The Husband, and in two runs of a Thames Television children's historical costume drama The Feathered Serpent.
During the Summer Live '09 tour, which included the Citi Field performances released on Good Evening New York City, McCartney added an instrumental version of The Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Foxy Lady" as a coda to "Let Me Roll It."
