The song was released worldwide in July 2012.“End of Summer” was originally performed by Theory of a Deadman, which was written by Zac Maloy, who is responsible for writing and producing songs for artists Carrie Underwood, Our Lady Peace, Hanson, and Chris Daughtry.
Dennis also plays guitar, and starred in a music video for Our Lady Peace's "Superman's Dead".
Zac Maloy released two albums and an EP as a solo artist, and has since become a songwriter and producer,and relocated to Nashville working with such acts as Carrie Underwood, Our Lady Peace, Supercell, The Daylights, Hanson, Chris Daughtry, David Cook and Bowling for Soup.
In addition to drumming for Our Lady Peace, Taggart has worked on various side projects, including providing the drums on Chantal Kreviazuk's song "Blue", Geddy Lee's song "Home On The Strange", and The Beautiful Unknown's song "Riot in the House of Ruin".
Many popular favorites from Our Lady Peace, such as "One Man Army", "In Repair" and "Life", do not appear on the album.
Before joining Our Lady Peace, he was in many different bands including Dragonfly (with Jeff Gutt on vocals), Butter Jackson, Ph (pronounced F), and Gabriel Mann's band.
