Their father, Johny Schleck, was a professional road bicycle racer between 1965 and 1974, as was their grandfather, Gustave Schleck, who contested events in the 1930s.

Eight days later Schleck took the maillot jaune and the lead in the Tour after claiming the single second he needed to pass Cadel Evans.


Trek Factory Racing

On 17 July 2012, Fränk Schleck was removed from the 2012 Tour de France by the team during the second rest day after his A-sample returned traces of Xipamide.
