Bello was originally a roadie and guitar technician for Anthrax, but later he replaced Dan Lilker soon after the release of Fistful of Metal, and has held this position since 1984.
At the end of the feature rock band Anthrax members Charlie Benante and Frank Bello were shown with Tecmo developer Jason Magness playing Ninja Gaiden II in a private showing.

Joey Belladonna was the lead singer of Anthrax from 1984 to 1992, and was considered part of the classic-lineup (also featuring Dan Spitz, Scott Ian, Frank Bello and Charlie Benante).
