After studying the modern oboe with Raymond Dusté and John de Lancie, Haynes moved to Holland where he studied early music performance from 1964 to 1967 with Frans Brüggen and Gustav Leonhardt at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

She has since appeared at major concert halls, performance venues, and music festivals throughout Europe, Israel, Japan, Canada, the United States and Russia, singing under the batons of people like Frans Brüggen, William Christie, Michel Corboz, Reinhard Goebel, Philippe Herreweghe, René Jacobs, Sigiswald Kuijken, and Karl-Friedrich Beringer.
He has worked with prominent conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Frans Bruggen, Pierre Boulez, Charles Dutoit, Carlo Maria Giulini, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, André Previn, Sir Simon Rattle, Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, and Evgeny Svetlanov.
He then collaborated with Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Daniele Gatti, Andrea Marcon, Christopher Hogwood, Trevor Pinnock, Frans Brüggen, Paul McCreesh, Giovanni Antonini and Ottavio Dantone.
Madoyan performed with a number of the world's best symphony orchestras and conductors such as Richard Hickox, Frans Brüggen, Claudio Abbado, Arnold Katz, Dmitri Kitayenko, Valery Gergiev, Leopold Hager, Matthias Bamert, Richard Dufallo and Nikolai Alekseyev.
