Children of Men was the first major motion picture known to legally use a sample from Freesound in its production.
Other notable new features include direct links to Flickr and Freesound, the option to apply multiple fixes at once using Magic Clean, and beat detection technology – which syncs audio with movie content.
As head of the Music Technology Group of the UPF, Xavier Serra has been behind most of the accomplishments of the group, such as Vocaloid, Freesound.org, BMAT, and Reactable.
