He had Oriental and Western type of Sanskrit education, especially of Sanskrit Grammar and linguistics in the Government Sankrit College, Thiruvananthapuram and the University of Kerala.

At the same time, he received Master of Arts degree in Russian language and literature from the Department of Russian, University of Kerala.
