During his long rule, he constructed many temples and tanks and brought recognition to Gandikota.

He ruled Gutthi (Gooty) and Gandikota regions and used to pay an annual tribute of nine lakh rupees to the Vijayanagar king.
This river enters the district near Kodikonda and flows north over the rocky and hilly uplands of Gorantla, Puttaparthi, Bukkapatnam, Kothacheruvu, C.K.Palli, Dharmavaram, Bathalapalli, Tadimarri and Yellanur Mandals and falls into the Pennar River at Gandikota in the Cuddapah District.
Some well-known Gandikota Kammas in modern times include Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu,Galla Arunakumari, High court justice Pemmasani Sankara Narayana (P.S. Narayana), Vaiko, Arcot N. Veeraswami and R. Prabhu.
He was decorated with many titles such as Aswarevanta, Parabalabhima, Chalamartivaraganda, Adavanidurgagarvavibhala, Hattumuvvraganda etc., Later, Linga II, grandson of Ayyappa, commanded the Vijayanagar army and captured the forts of Kurnool, Gandikota and Adoni.
