Having previously appeared in the Chinese drama Five Star Hotel (2007), Jeong starred opposite Leon Lai and Gao Yuanyuan for the Chinese film Nobleman's Path (2012).
In April 2012, he revealed his relationship with Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan at a press conference, after being spotted on a date by paparazzi in Nanjing.
