The temple has three structures namely, Garbhagriha (sanctum), the Darshan Mandap (worship hall), and Sabha Mandap (convention hall).
Besides the deities in the inner temple and Garbhagriha, Hanuman and Ganapati grace Roop Chowki near the main stairway of the temple.
On May 1, 1828 A.D., Swaminarayan himself installed Shri Ranchhodrai and Trikamrai in the inner sanctum.
In the main Garbhagriha, the idols of the Tirthankaras are flanked by mirrors on both sides, thus their images are seen infinite times.
Housed in the garbhagriham, the sanctum sanctorum, of the temple, the deity may be approached and handled only by the temple's priests, who are members of the Gurukkal community of Palani, and hold hereditary rights of sacerdotal worship at the temple.
The garbhagriha houses a Dharalingam and as in Pallava temples of that time, there is a Somaskanda panel on rear wall of the sanctum.
