Carnegie raised over $45m to fund the development of the technology which it has tested off Fremantle, and Garden Island (HMAS Stirling), Western Australia.
The species was published by Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel in 1845, based on specimens collected in 1839 at Garden Island, Rottnest Island, and Arthurs Head, Fremantle.
During this time, Teho also began writing regular gardening columns for newspapers throughout the state of Hawaii, including the Honolulu Advertiser and Star-Bulletin, the Hilo Hawaii Tribune-Herald, the Maui News and the Kauai Garden Island.

It is bounded on the east by the mainland suburbs of Cockburn and Kwinana, on the west by Garden Island and Carnac Island, and includes several rocky outcrops and reefs.
She lived in Ann Arbor, Milwaukee, Leland, and most notably at her heart's home, Miniss Kitigan—Garden Island.
