Gatchina

The Gatchina Palace was expanded several times by several imperial owners.

One railway, running north to south, connects the Baltiysky railway station in Saint Petersburg with Dno and Nevel.

During the German occupation, which lasted from 13 September 1941 to 26 January 1944, the city had the name Lindemannstadt after the Wehrmacht general Georg Lindemann.


Anna Shabanova

Shabanova established the Society for the Treatment of Chronically Ill Children and opened children's clinics in Gatchina (1882) and Vindava (1900).
