In 1975 she joined the Gucadigose Group to create a monumental work in Tabasco, working with Mathias Goeritz, Juan Luis Díaz, Sebastián, and Geles Cabrera.
She has received both Mexican and international recognition: in 1949, she was honored with first prize in the Thirty-first Fine Arts Salon of Havana and in 1985, she was granted first prize in sculpture in Gabrovo, Bulgaria.

She studied in the San Carlos Academy in her native city and in the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba.
In 1965 while organizing a Christmas party at the home of a sculptor friend, Geles Cabrera, he used collages as decorations.
