Division of Gellibrand, an Australian federal electoral division in Victoria
As a consequence of the charge Alfred Stephen the solicitor-general applied to have Gellibrand struck off the rolls.
In 1972, the year that the Whitlam Labor government was elected, Willis was elected as a Labor member of the House of Representatives for the extremely safe Labor seat of Gellibrand in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Gellibrand was born in Derwent Park, Van Diemen's Land (later renamed Tasmania), brother of Thomas and William who both became members of the Tasmanian House of Assembly.
