In 1975 he was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro, and in later years he entered the Board of Directors of the Banca Commerciale Italiana (of which he became chairman), Montedison (chairman), Compart (chairman), Assicurazioni Generali (of which he became a member of the Executive Committee), Olivetti, Mediobanca and Gemina.
The Roman bridge over the Tâmega River in Chaves, Portugal, then Aquae Flaviae, was built by the stationed legionaries of the Legio VII Gemina at the time of Trajan.
Gemina was featured in an episode of the television program Miracle Workers, in which she was credited with inspiring a child with scoliosis.
Via Gemina was the Roman road linking Aquileia and Emona (the modern Ljubljana).
