This album was produced by Tiffany's former manager, George Tobin, with whom she had earlier split, and who had been widely criticized for his exploitative management style, but also widely credited for achieving Tiffany's pop success.
Tiffany had broken with manager/producer George Tobin soon after her 18th birthday, and signed with manager Dick Scott and producer Maurice Starr.
(Both of the White Whale and Uni Records singles were produced or co-produced by George Tobin, who later went on to produce and manage 1980s teenage singer, Tiffany).
