Jacksonville Bulls

The team colors of garnet, orange and silver were taken from the three college football teams most popular in the area; garnet from the Florida State Seminoles, orange from the Florida Gators, and silver from the pants worn by the Georgia Bulldogs.

Crompton led Tennessee to an upset win over the unranked and 3-2 Georgia Bulldogs and was named the AT&T National Player of the Week.

Marion Campbell

Campbell played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1949 until 1951, where he was appropriately nicknamed "Swamp Fox".

Steve Dils

He was Stanford's starting quarterback under Bill Walsh in 1978, and led Stanford to a 25-22 victory over Georgia in the 1978 Bluebonnet Bowl, where he was named the game's offensive most valuable player.
