The flèche holds three more bells, two of which were cast in 1955 by the bell founders Petit & Gebr. Edelbrock of Gescher, who thereby brought their foundry back to the bell making tradition, since their foundry had cast the bells of St Johann Baptist in 1787.
About 985 Gescher was split form Lohn, which in turn (1231) split into Südlohn (literally "South-Lohn") and Nordlohn (literally "North-Lohn").
