The Gilboa-Conesville Central School District is a small, rural school located in the Northern Catskill Mountains.
Outside of Gilboa, NY 990V turns to the southeast, paralleling the eastern edge of the reservoir as it runs through a stretch of forests and passes directly south of Gilboa-Conesville Central School.

The contestants were Maccabi Tel Aviv, the 2008–09 Israeli League champion and the 2009–10 Israeli State Cup winner, Hapoel Jerusalem, Gilboa/Galil and Elitzur Maccabi Netanya.
In 2004, the tops and fronds of the trees were discovered and, in 2007, the fern-like trees, named Wattieza, were pronounced the oldest known trees on earth.
