Alastair "Ali" Jackson (born November 17, 1988 in Glengormley) is an Northern Irish racing driver.
Stephen Boyd (1931–1977) — starred in Ben-Hur (1959), Fantastic Voyage (1966) and many other films, was born in nearby Whitehouse and lived in Glengormley.

Despite being technically a glen (the area is in the valley between Cave Hill and Carnmoney Hill), Glengormley sits at 700 feet above sea level, and is noted for a climate noticeably colder than the adjacent Lagan valley area.
She is the daughter of Gilbert Lennox, an elder of Glenabbey Church, Glengormley, and the niece of the mathematician John Lennox.
