Udai Singh died in 1572 at Gogunda and his father Pratap Singh was made to ascend the throne of Mewar by the commandeers of royal house of Mewar.
On June 21, 1576 (June 18 by other calculations), the two armies met at Haldighati, near the town of Gogunda in present-day Rajasthan.
Their families established marital relations with the Royal families & Thikanas like Jasmor (head of the Pundir clan), Banka, Gogunda, Samode, Neemrana (direct descendents of Prithviraj Chauhan), Mahendragarh, etc.
