Democratic Alignment

It was established in order to participate in the 1950 elections and was formed by the Socialist Party led by Alexandros Svolos and the Left Liberals led by Stamatis Hatzibeis.

Dionysios Zakythinos

Zakythinos also served briefly as Minister to the Prime Minister in the interim 1963–64 government of Ioannis Paraskevopoulos, while after the fall of the Regime of the Colonels, he was elected to the Greek Parliament in the November 1974 elections, on the list of the conservative New Democracy party, serving until 1977.

Ecologist Greens

Nanos Valaoritis, a distinguished living Greek poet, became the party's leading candidate in the 2007 Greek legislative election.

First Cabinet of Kostas Karamanlis

The first Karamanlis Cabinet succeeded the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) cabinet of Costas Simitis after the 2004 elections, and was followed by Karamanlis' Second Cabinet after the 2007 elections.

After his party's victory in the 2004 election, the new cabinet of Kostas Karamanlis was sworn in on 10 March.

Georgios Anatolakis

Anatolakis was elected in B' Piraeus, in the 4 October 2009 elections, as a member of the Popular Orthodox Rally Party and was a member of the Greek parliament.

Georgios Kartalis

Together with Alexandros Svolos he founded the Democratic Party of the Working People, but failed to get elected into Parliament in the 1952 elections.

The Athens daily Kathemerini commented: "Now, two weeks before the elections, all opinion polls show PASOK 3 to 4.5 percentage points behind ND. This raises the question of whether PASOK can snatch victory away from ND. The fact is that much is unclear. For example, although PASOK has little support, its leader has a good image in public opinion polls."

The electoral campaign concluded on in the traditional manner, with huge televised mass rallies in the centre of Athens by each of the major parties.

George Papandreou is the son of Andreas Papandreou, three times (1981, 1985, 1993) Prime Minister and the founder of PASOK, and the grandson of Georgios Papandreou, a liberal centrist who entered national politics in the 1920s and was twice Prime Minister (1944, 1963).

Athens daily Kathimerini quoted a voter during the campaign as saying: "We Greeks like to know where our leaders come from. We feel we know these families as well as we know our own."

As a result, it was popularly nicknamed the "Parliament of the Lazaruses" (Βουλή των Λαζάρων), and continued until the general election of October 1920.

Konstantinos Mitsotakis

The ND (New Democracy) government was defeated by Andreas Papandreou's PASOK in 1981, and in 1984 Mitsotakis succeeded Evangelos Averoff as ND leader.

Konstantinos Tsaldaris

With the foundation and rise to power of the Greek Rally of Marshal Alexandros Papagos, the People's party lost a large part of its electoral base and Tsaldaris did not win in the 1952 election.

Organization of Communist Internationalists of Greece–Spartacus

In the Greek legislative election, 2012 it broke with the Executive Bureau of the Fourth International which decided to switch support from Antarsya to Syriza.

Stephanos Skouloudis

He was again elected to parliament representing Thebes in 1892 and was appointed by Prime Minister Trikoupis as Minister of Religion and Education and later as Minister for the Navy.

Thanos Mikroutsikos

After the elections of October 1993 he was appointed by the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) which formed the new government, as Alternate-Minister of Culture with late Melina Mercouri as minister.

United Popular Front

participated in the legislative elections of May 2012 as party of the coalition of "NO" with the Democratic Revival and gained 0.9%.
